Linda McDonald
Born and raised in the Puyallup Valley, I married my husband Steve in 1966. We have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. I worked for many years as a travel agent. I became involved in the Scottish Community when my husband and I went to a highland games. My husband took up the bagpipes and I eventually became the business manager of the Tacoma Scots Pipe Band. When I had a job change that did not afford me the time to work with the band I became a supporter. I love genealogy and have come to appreciate heritage. I came up with the idea of the Scottish Heritage Society. The license plate is the means to support the society. I look forward to making this the most successful Scottish Heritage Society outside of Scotland!
Allen B. Bell
Age 67, and currently employed as court security office for the United States Courts. Married, with two adult sons and one granddaughter. Active member of the Clan Bell International. I visit most of the highland games in the state of Washington, southern British Columbia and northern Oregon annually. My younger son is a highly rated "A" competitor in the heavy events at highland games. I have visited Scotland on three occasions and am interested in all things Scottish and Scottish History.
Vanessa Dunivan
I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and married David Dunivan in 1977 in Denmark. We moved to Tacoma, Washington in May 1992 from Augsburg, Germany where my husband served with the U.S. Army and was assigned to Fort Lewis. I went to my first highland games at the Tacoma Highland Games in 1996. I soon found out about my Scottish heritage and fell hopelessly in love with "All Things Scottish". In 1997 I became International Co-Commissioner with my husband for Clan MacTavish/Thompson for the next four years. In 1998 when the Senate Resolution 155 passed making 6 April, National Tartan Day, I became very involved with bringing "All Things Scottish" to the Tacoma area. In 2000 I founded National Tartan Day Society of Washington and served as chairman until 2003. In January of 2006 I retired from Madign Army Medical Center as a Nurse. I am again looking forward to working and promoting "All Things Scottish".
